Workshop Overview:
There are
three components of communication: the voice, body language, and the words
that we speak (verbal). In a face-to-face conversation, the voice
represents 38% of the message being heard, body language 55% and the words
we speak only 7%.
In a
face-to-face sales or customer service opportunity you need to present an
image of an upbeat, knowledgeable and experienced individual. This
confidence and professionalism is presented through your voice and body
language.
Individuals throughout the day can misinterpret tone of voice and misread
body language, while standing, sitting, and/or walking. Know what your tone
and body is saying to your customers and when. This is what will separate a
sales/customer service representative from a sales/customer service
professional.
Within
this workshop individuals will focus on the strengthening of their voice and
review the power of body language.
Through
effective voice strengthening exercises, voice control techniques and
one-on-one coaching, individuals learn how the “Verbal Touch Technique”
stimulates the listener by effectively applying the 5 elements of the voice,
at the right moment within a conversation.
Even
though your voice is saying, “I am professional and confident”, you better
be certain that your body language is not saying that you are tired, upset,
in a hurry or bored. Through exercises, example and practice individuals
will learn how to read and portray positive body language.
